The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the initiation of the process for List of Candidates (LOC) filling for the CBSE Board Exams 2024. Starting from August 18, 2023, schools are required to complete the LOC submission by September 18, 2023, to avoid late fees. In case of a delay, the last date to submit the LOC with late fees is September 19, 2023.
To access the official notice and initiate the submission process, schools can visit the CBSE’s official website at cbse.gov.in. The procedure mandates the accurate and timely input of student data to prevent any potential issues for the students in the future.
For schools newly affiliated with CBSE, a two-step process is in place. Initially, schools must provide information on the OASIS portal, followed by data submission on the HPE portal. Only after these steps are completed can the schools proceed to submit their LOC data. It is crucial to note that once the data is filled and submitted, CBSE will not allow modifications to the declared section or student strength.

The board has emphasized that schools need to upload photographs of their students from Class 9 and 11 during the registration process, before the final submission of the LOC.
Private candidates and those applying for the second chance compartment exams will have a separate link for online form submission. Late submission for these candidates will incur an additional fee of ₹2000/- per candidate, along with the regular prescribed fee.
For Class 12 practical subjects, schools in India and Nepal are required to pay ₹150/- per practical subject per candidate, while schools abroad will pay ₹350/- per practical subject per candidate. Additionally, a migration certificate will cost ₹350/- per candidate. Visually impaired candidates are exempt from paying examination fees for both Class 10 and 12.
The CBSE’s decision to commence the LOC filling process marks a significant step towards the smooth conduct of the CBSE Board Exams 2024. For further details and information, candidates are encouraged to visit the official CBSE website.
